DDD · Ages 21+ · Licensed & Active

A safe, structured home for adults with disabilities.

GBL operates fully licensed residential group homes for adults with disabilities in South Jersey. Every home is behavioral-driven, BCBA-supervised, and staffed by trained DSPs, RBTs, and BTs — so the clinical support your loved one needs doesn't stop when the day program ends.

What makes a GBL home different

  • Behavioral expertise built in — every home is overseen by a BCBA and run by staff trained in behavior analysis, so challenging behaviors are understood, not just managed.
  • Small, home-like settings — 2 to 4 residents per home means individualized attention, consistent routines, and a real sense of community.
  • Acuity-matched placement — we match residents to homes and staffing based on Complex Assistance (CA) and FA support needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • 24/7 continuity of care — the same behavior plan guides daytime programming, evening routines, and overnight support.
  • Family and DDD partnership — we work closely with families, Support Coordinators, and DDD teams to keep everyone aligned.

Upshaw House — Coming Soon. Join the Waitlist.

Upshaw House, our newest GBL residential home, is opening soon with room for a small group of residents. Like all of our homes, it will be BCBA-supervised and staffed by trained DSPs, RBTs, and BTs providing individualized, acuity-based support in a safe, home-like setting.

Placement is limited, and openings are filled from the waitlist first. Add your loved one — or someone on your caseload — and we'll reach out as soon as a bed is available.

Who it's for

Adults 21 and older with disabilities who need a residential setting where behavioral needs are treated as a clinical priority — including individuals identified at Complex Assistance (CA) and/or FA support levels. We welcome referrals from Support Coordinators, families, case managers, and DDD teams across South Jersey.

What everyday life looks like

Residents build their own routines with staff support: meals prepared together, household chores, community outings, health appointments, hobbies, visits with family, and participation in GBL's DDD day program if appropriate. Staff coach independence, reinforce skills, and step back as residents grow more capable.
